Types of
yard drains

​

1) French drains:

A French drain is a trench filled with a perforated pipe and gravel that allows water to drain naturally from your yard.

​

Along with corrugated pipe, we can use a catch basin, depending on the location of the flooded area to eliminate the largest problem areas.

​

​

Yard Helpers will dig a trench, modify the grade as necessary, and channel the excess water flow to lower elevations.

​

It may be best to link in to your existing downspouts, adding new pipe along with the corrugated. Also, it may be possible to direct runoff into road curbside release, a creek or a nearby pond or other body of water.
